Salvation The price was paid on calvary by Jesus the Son of God. It is free to all who wish to have it. Lay all your burdens at Jesus feet and walk in perfect LOVE and have true JOY. You do have to be sorry for your sins and turn away from them and live like Jesus. I tried the world and I rather have Jesus as anything. The wages of sin are death. In sin we are separated from God. We cannot find true peace, happiness, wealth or love. YOU WILL LIVE FOREVER for the soul never dies. The question is where will you spend eternity. With God or without God ???

Losing or Choosing Control
Have you ever had something in of your life thatcontrolled you instead of your controlling it? Itis easy to get discouraged and feel that you will never become the master of that area of your life.
2 Peter 1:4-9 (NIV) says:
"Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins."
Think about what your definition of self-control is.
In the days of the great western cattle ranches, a trick was used to tame a particularly difficult and unsubmissive stallion. The horse would be harnessed to a little burro. The two would go off into the desert bucking and raging, looking like a mini-Texas tornado by the dust they kicked up. The great stallion would be tossing the little burro to and fro like a paper doll as they went over the horizon. They might be gone for days, but eventually they would come back over the horizon, the little burro leading the submissive steed in tow. Somewhere out in the desert the stallion had become exhausted in its struggle and at that moment the burro stepped in to become the master of the situation.
You may feel that the area you have a hard time controlling is like a "wild stallion" harnessed to your back. The battle for control can be won if you don't give up but persist in your fight for control. With God's help, the day will come when you step in to become master of the situation. Author unknown

The Last Supper
Matthew 26 26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, andblessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the
disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave
it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
28 For this is my blood of the new testament,
which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
29 But I say unto you, I will not drink
henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that
day when I drink it new with you in my Father's
kingdom.
30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out
into the mount of Olives.
1 Corinthians 11
20 When ye come together therefore into one
place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
21 For in eating every one taketh before other
his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is
drunken.
22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink
in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame
them that have not? what shall I say to you?
shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
23 For I have received of the Lord that which
also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus
the same night in which he was betrayed took
bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and
said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken
for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup,
when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new
testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye
drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink
this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he
come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and
drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be
guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him
eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily,
eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not
discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among
you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not
be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of
the Lord, that we should not be condemned with
the world.
There are those that are taught that when you
take the bread it becomes the real body of
Christ
..
And the wine the real blood.
My thought is
There was to be no more blood sacrifice
This was a symbol
Jesus did not cut himself to drink real blood.
He did not give them His real flesh and He was
there with them.
He used the bread and wine as symbols of the
flesh and blood of his death and resurrection. To
be remembered and not forgotten.
The great point
..UNTIL HE COMES BACK
!!!
Praise the Lord.
But let us also notice we are not to do this
unworthy.
Some people think they have to look like a saint
in front of others and partake of the Lord's
supper because of pride while there is sin in
their life. This carries serious consequences.
We are warned here
many are weak and sickly
among you.
We are to examine ourselves before the Lord.
We are to make sure there is no sin in our life
and if we feel there is, ask forgiveness. All sin
has to covered by the blood of Jesus before we
partake of the Lord's supper.
The Word even tells us if we have anything
againgst our brother and we are at the alter
praying go make it right and come back to the
alter.
Mark 11
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever
ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive
them, and ye shall have them.
25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have
ought against any: that your Father also which is
in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your
Father which is in heaven forgive your
trespasses.
NO sin will enter into heaven.
God loves the sinner but hates the sin.

Jesus had to Go Alone
Matthew 26 31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall beoffended because of me this night: for it iswritten, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep
of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of
the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the
disciples forsook him, and fled.
He had to go alone........
as far as people
but.......
an angel came to strengthen Jesus
before He had to face the trials.......
Luke 22
41And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's
throw, and He knelt down and prayed,
42saying, "Father, if it is Your will, take
this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will,
but Yours, be done."
43Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven,
strengthening Him.
44And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly.
Then His sweat became like great drops of blood
falling down to the ground.

What Goes Around Comes Around
His name was Fleming, and he was a
poor Scottish farmer.
One day, while
trying to make a living for his family,
he heard a cry for help coming from a nearby
bog...
He dropped his tools and ran to the bog.
There, mired to his waist in black muck,
was a terrified boy, screaming and
struggling to free himself.
Farmer Fleming saved the lad from what
could have been a slow and terrifying death.
The next day, a fancy carriage pulled up
to the Scotsman's sparse surroundings.
An elegantly dressed nobleman stepped out
and introduced himself as the father of
the boy Farmer Fleming had saved.
"I want to repay you," said the
nobleman.
"You saved my son's life."
"No, I can't accept payment for what I
did,"
the Scottish farmer replied, waving off the offer
At that moment, the farmer's own son came
to the door of the family hovel.
"Is that your son?" the nobleman asked.
"Yes," the farmer replied proudly.
"I'll make you a deal," said the
nobleman.
"Let me provide him with the level of
education my son will enjoy.
If the lad is anything like his father,
he'll no doubt grow to be a man we both will be
proud of."
And that he did.
Farmer Fleming's son attended the very best
schools and
in time, he graduated from St. Mary's Hospital
Medical School
in London, and went on to become known throughout
the world as the
noted Sir Alexander Fleming, the discoverer of
Penicillin.
Years afterward, the same nobleman's son
who was saved from the bog was stricken
with pneumonia.
What saved his life this time?
Penicillin.
The name of the nobleman?
Lord Randolph Churchill.
His son's name?
Sir Winston Churchill.

The Purpose of Parables
Matthew 13 * 10 And the disciples came and said to Him,
"Why do You speak to them in parables?"
11He answered and said to them, "Because it
has been given to you to know the mysteries of
the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not
been given. 12For whoever has, to him more will
be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever
does not have, even what he has will be taken
away from him. 13Therefore I speak to them in
parables, because seeing they do not see, and
hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.

My Prayer For You
-Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy. -Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a
renewed confidence in your ability to work
through it.
-Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish
you understanding, patience, and renewed
strength.
-Where there is fear, I wish you love, and
courage.

As The Sheperd Goes... So Go The Sheep
God gave me some thoughts to share......
He said as a pastor---he or she is both ashepherd
of the flock of the church they pastor--
and a sheep , with God as their Shepherd
The flock cannot
go very long without a good, watchful,
and strong shepherd
without the sheep scattering or being scattered
The goats butt things
and are unruly
and will fight back--and cause confusion
and scatter the sheep
but the wolves run from a strong shepherd
these are stronger and can eat the sheep
but they won't come in as quickly as the goats
wolves are more deadly but wait for
a time they think they can sneak in
I saw in my mind --- a shepherd who was
like David--young,
fast, strong, fearless, calm,
peaceful....
playing his harp and singing to the Lord
He killed a bear and a lion
God was preparing him to go against Goliath
now picture an angry man trying to lead a flock
of sheep----maybe cursing and kicking the sheep--
not caring if they had the best
pasture to eat from---puny, sickly little sheep
think of a man unhappy and drunk
trying to lead a flock of sheep----intoxicated,
staggering, or asleep, wouldn't be able to
see the enemy,
wouldn't be able to defend the sheep
if he saw the enemy
Looses a lot of sheep that way
we need to have a man or woman of God
that leads---according to God's standards
in God's love and mercy---listening to the voice
of God--
one that God makes aware of the enemy
when he sneaks in the edge of the flock
and can destroyed the enemy before the enemy
scatters or kills the sheep--
one ready to battle the enemy when he comes
after the flock--
so it is with leadership in a church--the
pastor--needs God's standards--God's love and
gentleness--
that takes instruction from the Lord------
that can spot satan when he shows up in the
church
or in an individuals life---
a shepherd that is not afraid to speak up and
address the sin--
or the person sent to stir-up and lead astray
people in the congregation ---
when one has wandered off the shepherd will go
out
and seek and find that one that is strayed
away......
Think about these qualities when you
pick out a place to worship and attend
if you want to grow and be strong in the Lord
you must have good spiritual food ..which is the
Word of God....someone to lead and guide you
along the path to good pastures to eat and rest
and drink from the still clear waters
Check out the shepherd--look for good leadership
qualities
But never stray from Jesus the good and perfect
shepherd.
